The ARIEL Executive Committee provides project oversight and routinely reviews aspects of its execution:

• General mission and goals
• Grant applications
• Coordination with relevant projects ongoing at Rice that pertain to ARIEL
• Support of Rice projects
• DSpace content migration
• Research agenda, especially as it pertains to CS and building the department
• Fund raising activities
• Conference participation
• Communication with the campus and external constituencies
• Appropriate institutions to partner with and the goals of such partnering
• Corporate partnerships and grants
